OBJECTIVE

The “Three-steo Interview” methodology aims at the equal participation of all students, who learn to listen and summarise.

DURATION

The activity lasts between 30 and 60 minutes.

METHODOLOGY

  • Step 1: the teacher proposes a specific task to the class. Each student works on the task individually for a set time (10, 15… minutes).
  • Step 2: Students work in pairs. Student A interviews student B about his task. B just answer the questions without adding any unrequested information.
  • Step 3: The couples swap roles. Now student B interviews A.
  • Step 4: Pairs form groups of 4 students. Each student, in turn, shares in the group what they have learned in the interview.

EXAMPLES OF USE

  • Elaboration of a comic book of 6 vignettes presenting your city (indicating the content of the vignettes).
  • To find out what prior knowledge and ideas you have about a topic.
  • Synthesise the most important aspects of a topic.
  • Design interview questions for a character interview.
