Video creation process
Video creation process
The video creation process can be divided into five main stages
- Development
- Pre-production
- Production
- Post-production
- Distribution
We cannot skip any stage, because without the previous one it is not possible to tackle the next one.
1. Development
Development is one of the most important areas of the process, and can also be one of the most difficult.
The development phase involves
- Coming up with ideas and themes to create an interesting or engaging story.
- The storyline needs to be clear before moving into pre-production. This involves developing a script for the people involved in the video and a storyboard to help plan the shots to be filmed.
2. Preproduction
This stage uses the idea, the story, and the previously prepared scripts.
Pre-production is when the characters (actors, reporters, etc.) are chosen, locations are sought, sets are built if necessary, each day of shooting is planned and rehearsals and test shots are organised.
3. Production
In the production phase, the story comes to life as it is filmed And the following work is carried out:
- Scripts are rehearsed and characters are developed.
- Filming is set up on location.
- The planned scenes are filmed.
- The footage is reviewed to make sure that everything has been filmed and looks good enough to be edited with the chosen software.
4. Post-production
This step gather all tasks regarding video editing. In the post-production phase, the images and videos captured during production are brought together.
Post-production includes downloading the videos and images to a computer. Putting them all together in editing software and making cuts, adding music, text, voiceovers, sound effects, visual effects, etc.
5. Distribution
Distribution is the last stage of the process. At this point, our video is finished and ready to show at home or for everyone to see on Youtube or social networks.
